Celine is the second residency show by Canadian recording artist, Celine Dion. The show is performed at the The Colosseum at Caesars Palace in Las Vegas, Nevada from 2011 to 2014, with an estimated 70 performances per year.
Celine Dion stated that the show will feature, "all the songs from my repertoire that people want to hear" and will contain a selection of music from classic Hollywood films. Celine Dion has also announced that she is working on two new studio albums, in French and English.
In preparation for her return to Las Vegas, Celine Dion, on February 21 made an appearance on the "Oprah Winfrey Show" during the show's final season, and spoke about her upcoming Caesars Palace shows, as well as her family.
Additionally, for a record sixth time, Dion performed at the 83rd Academy Awards, where she sang the song "Smile," as part of the ceremony's "In Memoriam" segment.
In March 2011, Celine Dion began a three year residency at The Colosseum at Caesars Palace. The brand-new show designed exclusively for The Colosseum will feature 31 musicians, consisting of a full orchestra and band. The show's concept will be one-of-a-kind, centered on capturing the romance of classic Hollywood movies and performed with a stunning visual presentation. Moment Factory will be producing the visual elements for the show (the company previously worked with Nine Inch Nails and DJ Tiesto).
